the Designer Deejays - Long time friends, DJ Just and DJ Dan-Lo began mixing and scratching records for fun while in college, and in early 2006 they finally decided to make the transition into the nightlife industry as the “Designer Deejay’s.” Although these two self described “music freaks” are definitely part of the new generation of DJ’s, what seems to separate them from most up-and-comers is their desire to preserve the old school party DJ traditions. While advancements in technology have created an environment where almost anyone can purchase a laptop and become an “instant DJ,” it would not be fair to classify these two in that manner. Both possess the genuine technical skills of scratching and mixing patterned after some of the all time greats, along with a unique ability to blend together multiple genres of music, (Hip-hop, r&b, pop, rock) consistently keeping an electric vibe out on the dance floor. In 2008 alone, the two have combined to rock over 40 Venues in the SF Bay Area, and shared the stage with names like Akon, Samantha Ronson, Lady Gaga & Too Short.

Nate Mezmer ALBUM Listening Party

Wednesday, October 8th at HARLOT in San Francisco…

it’s the Official NATE MEZMER album listening party!

Yep, my new album is finally done, and with the help of DJ SAKE ONE, this guest list-only event for friends, industry goers and cool cats alike, will feature complimentary Mandrin Vodka drinks from 8pm-10pm and the sounds of yours truly to jump start the evening.

The new album, entitled “Rhymes For A Reason,” features the likes of emcee Zumbi of the acclaimed indie hip-hop group, ZION-I, the internationally known Boots Riley of The Coup, singer Myron Glasper of Blackalicious fame, as well as singer Janice Bailon & the multi-talented Manny Black. The album is produced by Nathan “ETHX” Montiel.

So, come early for deliciously free cocktails and some uber cool NEW music! Stay late for the soulful party sounds of DJ Sake-One and perhaps an impromptu live performance!?
